There are a number of ways to approach preparing the faculty and staff for the site visit. Ideally, everyone representing the institution will have a shared understanding of the strengths and weaknesses even if opinions vary as they always do. Ideally, your preparations will include some external opinions so that you are not suprised during the site visit. Ideally, the logistics of the site visit will offer the site visit team the best context to consider your compliance and provide you with an opportunity to address issues quickly, before unwarranted negative opinions can set in.
Accredti Consulting has a number of strategies and tactics to ensure the best possible outcome of your site visit.
Mock Site Visit with Participant Preparation: A digest of all the reporting, the Survey Report requirements and the site visit process is created for each constituency that will meet with the site visitors. A mock site visit is executed using consultants as site visitors. A report is provided noting areas of concern and suggesting methods of addressing these concerns including both feedback for participants and compliance issues.
Site Visit Coordination: The development of the schedule, workflow, supporting documents as well as on-site expertise that facilitate a successful site visit including in-process briefings and updates for participants during the visit.
Participant Materials Preparation: A digest of all the reporting, the Survey Report requirements and the site visit process is created for each constituency that will meet with the site visitors. This material can be used by AC consultants or by RWJMS faculty to prepare participants for the site survey.
Mock Site Visit Only: One or more participants will perform a database review and site visit, following LCME guidelines and then provide a report similar to that called for by the LCME.
Accredit Consulting provides expert opinion, outside perspective, and best practice processes to identify and address compliance issues and make the process of accreditation as efficient and effective as possible.
