How to Compare Costs

Most institutions address the LCME accreditation work with a combination of existing staff and consultants or temporary staff.

It can be very challenging to face the size of this project for the first time. The entire project can take more than 10,000 hours of administrative time on top of the time spent by faculty and staff in considering the standards and writing.

Consider your internal costs, the time it will take to train staff, and the many other things they won't be accomplishing when considering how you approach this process.

The Accredit Consulting provides project pricing by a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Monthly Retainer, Time and Materials (T&M) or some combination of the three. Consultant prices are based on size of the commitment and level of expertise and range from $250/hr to $40/hr (USD).

Support staff can be hired by Accredit Consulting or we can utilize existing support staff and provide guidance, training, leadership or all three.

We do answer Requests for Proposal (RFP's) or we can provide bids following the following procedure:

  • An Outline of Services and Costs is provided to you by Accredit Consulting with a range of costs based on a number of factors.
  • Through meetings and correspondence, we gather additional information about the specific needs of your institution.
  • A specific bid is provided.

The entire process can take one to three weeks, based largely on your availability to respond to our inquiries.

Additional costs, such as travel and lodging, can be billed directly or provided as part of the bid.

We are now taking new contracts for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 reporting years.
